Identification
There are a few different types of carpet beetles that might make their way into your fabric.

The most common are black carpet beetles. They feed on fur, hair, wollen materials, and plant products. The varied carpet beetles are smaller that their black conterparts, and the common carpet beetles are round, or yellow bugs.
One misconception about the carpet beetle is that they’re carpet bound only. But these insects can often fly, meaning they can find their way through the door, or from a neighbour’s property onto yours.
You’ll find these insects under your baseboards, around door casings, under the edges of carpets, and inside your upholstered furniture.
